Little Mermaid Casting Information
Thank you to every single one of you who auditioned for The Little Mermaid. We feel so incredibly lucky to have so much talent at Timpview.
Congratulations to those of you who got cast in The Little Mermaid! We are so excited for this production and cannot wait to get started. For those of you who did not make it we encourage you to try out again for our spring play: Almost Maine. Consider joining drama club or adding a drama class to your schedule. We would love to have you join us!
Our first rehearsal is this Monday, August 25th. Please meet in room W147 (orchestra/drama room). Find a chair and be prepared to receive instruction starting promptly at 2:30.
To accept your part in this production and to commit to the rehearsal schedule please fill out the linked google form (scroll to bottom)
We do have some Saturday rehearsals, later nights during tech week, a weekend workshop event, and a field trip to tour The Little Mermaid to feeder schools. Please make sure those dates you also have free in your calendar. If you are unable to make it to a majority of rehearsals due to work, other commitments, etc. please know that we may have to give your role to someone else. If you miss three or more unexcused rehearsals you will be excused from the production.
As a reminder the rehearsal schedule is always susceptible to change. You will note, rehearsals for the first 2-3 weeks are vocals, and specific parts will be called certain days (be on the lookout for updates). Those will take place in room W147. From there we will begin choreography and blocking. Some days you might be called to work with the choreographers, Madi, while simultaneously another group of actors are with Mrs. Napierski. Be sure to keep a close eye on the schedule so you know when you are called on a certain day and for what.
*When working with the choreographer bring comfortable clothes and shoes you can dance in.
If you would like to receive a script on Monday that you can take home you must bring a 3 ring binder, color and width does not matter.
This production is going to be incredible, you all have so much talent that truly radiates and fills a stage!
